Week 12

Glogster is an online learning platform for creating presentations and interactive learning. It's a platform that allows users (mostly students and educators) to combine text, images, video, and audio to create an interactive poster called a glog. This is done on a virtual canvas. Users can creatively express themselves and their knowledge on this platform. Exploring the Glogster website and creating a glog was a great learning experience for me! It's a prime example of what the new literacies are all about. Teachers can create amazing learning experiences in this way, and students can then view and learn from them. On the other hand, students can use Glogsters as a way to build upon their knowledge and present their learning. Users can also work on a project collaboratively, where every student can add his/her creativity to the project at hand, whether through text, images, video or audio. Glogster gives hyperlinks when a project is finished for easy sharing with others. It's basically a fantastic online educational tool, which makes learning different and more exciting than typical. So, if you're a teacher of a bunch of students, and looking for ways to engage your learners in a learning and technological environment, go for it and try it Glogster!
